Celeste approached me to design a logo for her new speech and vagal nerve therapy practice. She didn’t know what her practice should be called yet, but she did know she liked the idea of little birds in the logo. The core concept that needed to come across in the logo was communication (speaking and listening) as well as the idea of “safe and sound” therapy. From this brief, I started looking for a name that would work for her. She preferred a Latin name that was neither Afrikaans nor English, making it bilingual in nature. We then settled on “Salvus”, which means: safe, sound, alive, free from difficulties, unscathed.
